perfectly,
lights

patterns.
Notes travel
through an old garage
in Canton.
Shape of East
contained.
Lantern hung
bold yellow orange,
against patterned flowers.

Will I travel to Africa
again?
Unlikely.
The thought of its
roughness
dirt track roads
frightens my fragile form.
Yet my spirit still
remembers
an experience
where I grew
beyond the person
I was.
That time I walked
Mount Sinai in the early hours.
